/ 01What's the difference between COB and SMD strip lights?
COB (Chip-on-Board) strips have densely packed chips covered by a phosphor layer, producing uniform light with no visible dots. SMD (Surface-Mount Device) strips use individual LED chips — more efficient per watt but with visible light points. COB is ideal for diffused, premium looks; SMD is great for general use and RGB effects.
/ 02Which IP rating do I need?
IP65 handles indoor humidity and splashes. IP67 survives brief submersion — good for bathrooms and covered outdoor use. IP68 is fully waterproof for pools, ponds, and permanent outdoor installs. Indoor-only? Non-waterproof saves money and installs easier.
/ 0312V vs 24V — which should I choose?
12V is standard for most residential installs under 16 feet. 24V reduces voltage drop on longer runs, making it better for commercial projects or continuous installations over 20 feet. Both work fine with appropriate power supplies.
/ 04Do you offer bulk or contractor pricing?
